Fungal cells are of two basic morphological types: true hyphae ( multicellular filamentous fungi ) or the yeasts ( unicellular fungi) which make pseudohyphae. A fungal cell has a true nucleus, internal cell structures, and a cell wall.

Fungi do not have chloroplasts. Kingdom Fungi are single-celled or multicellular, heterotrophic organisms with a cell wall. They do not contain chloroplasts or photosynthesize like plants do. Fungi do not have any means of locomotion, so they must get nutrients by living on and decomposing dead and decaying organisms.
