Why is excretion important in order to achieve osmotic balance?
Short Answer
Excretion plays an important role in removing waste products, excess water, and solutes from the body. If these substances are allowed to accumulate they can be harmful to the body. The accumulation of excess water or solutes can disturb the fluid balance in the intracellular and extracellular compartments of the cell.
