Identify the Number of Proteins

Scroll down the page. The number of proteins identified in this project should be indicated under the heading "Based on Quantitative Mass Spectrometry with rigorous cutoffs:". Note down this number as your answer to question (a).

Identify the Number of Fetal Tissues Analyzed

Scroll further down the page, under the heading "Mass spectrometry based proteomic analysis on representative proteins from:". In this section, you will find information regarding the number of fetal tissues that were analyzed. Note down this number as your answer to question (b).

Use the "Query" Tab

Click on the "Query" tab on the top-right bar of the website for part (c).

Select the "Gene Family" Dropdown Menu

In the "Query" tab, look for the "Gene family" dropdown menu and select a gene family pathway of your interest.

Choose the Tissue Type

Below the "Gene family" dropdown menu, choose whether you want to search for protein distribution in fetal tissues, adult tissues or both.

Conduct the Search

Click the "Query" button below the tissue selection and view the resulting protein distribution for the selected gene pathway for part (c).
