Catalytic Mechanisms

The catalysis is done by using the phosphorylating the glucose. The complexed ATP is a competitive inhibitor for hexokinase. ATP and AMP are cofactors. AMP enhance the activity of phosphofructokinase and ATP inhibits the same.
