The iris is the colored part that controls the amount of light entering the eye by adjusting the pupil's size. The pupil is the black opening in the iris that allows light to enter the eye. The lens fine-tunes the light focusing by changing its shape to focus on different distances. The sclera is the outer white layer that provides structure and protection, while the choroid layer supplies blood and absorbs excess light. The retina contains photoreceptor cells that convert light into neural signals, which are transmitted to the brain via the optic nerve, creating visual images. Finally, the vitreous humor maintains eye shape and supports light to pass through the lens and retina.
