1. Self Confidence - Be precise in what you're saying to the client and avoid sounding hesitant.

2. Good speaker and listener - Must listen to the client's concerns and needs before proposing acceptable solutions.

3. Communication skills - This encompasses both oral and written communication abilities. It demonstrates the qualities of a successful consultant.

4. Should be able to gain client trust - By providing accurate information to the client, the client's confidence is earned.

5. Showcasing expert knowledge - Knowledge must be provided in the proper and appropriate manner.

6. Be a Team Player - Developing a collaborative connection with peers and clients is essential to becoming a great consultant. Working successfully with others not only develops your talents, but also allows for the expansion of your consulting.
