Why is the MRP process referred to as an “explosion”?

MRP process is the method that is used to compute the material or stuff and units needed to invent or produce a product. It helps to control and direct the inventory. MRP usually initiates with a plan for all the finished products that are further changed into a schedule of the items that are needed.

MRP process is an operation that deals with analyzation of all the information of a commodity and its parts or the components and the inputs that are being used to produce the final good.

Ultimately, it keeps a check on the materials required to encounter the MPS. It identifies all the requirements and then checks how many of them are available and also keeps a check on how many of them are all ready to be used for the earlier orders
