Problem 1
Prepare a checklist for assessing the quality of an oral presentation. After reading through this chapter, prepare a ten-point checklist of assessment criteria under the heading 'What makes a good oral presentation?'. Compare your list with the one that we have provided online - do you agree with our criteria, or do you prefer your checklist? (Can you justify your preferences?)
Problem 3
Rehearse a talk and get feedback on your performance. There are a number of approaches you might take, including: (i) recording and reviewing your presentation using a digital movie camera; or (ii) giving your talk to a small group of fellow students and asking them to provide constructive feedback.
