A series of studies showed that the people of Denmark and the people of Greenland have vastly different rates of cancer. The reason for this difference is that Greenlanders eat large amounts of cold-water fish, while Danes rarely do. These fish contain a polyunsaturated fatty acid thought to inhibit cancers. Therefore, if the Danes were to eat more cold-water fish, they would reduce their risk for cancer. All of the following statements, if true, would strengthen the above conclusion EXCEPT: A.
