Add 8 both sides of the inequality, as

$$\begin{gathered} x-8>4 \\ x-8+8>4+8 \\ x>12 \end{gathered}$$

Thus, the solution of the given inequality is every number strictly greater than 12, this can be represented in the interval form, as $\left(12,\infty \right)$.

Now, in order to sketch the graph of the solution of the inequality, since the interval of solution at left end point 12 is strict, so use a hollow circle at point 12.
