Step 2: Select 10 as the line number.

Step 3: Select the numbers 10 - 11 in Columns 10 - 11.

Step 4: In Line 10, begin with a two-digit number.

Step 5: Pick the first number, which is 43.

Step 6: Numbers 51 to 99 should not be duplicated.

Step 7: Get the second number by continuing down the columns.

Step 8: Continue down the columns until you reach the first number, which is 01.

Step 9: Go up to the 12th and 13th columns and find the fourth number, which is 42.

Step 10: Work your way along with the columns until you reach the fifth number, which is 37.

Step 11: Work your way along with the columns until you reach the sixth number, which is 47.

Output:

SRS

43, 45, 01, 42, 37, 47.

To get an SRS of size 6 from the population, use MINITAB.

Procedure for MINITAB:

Step 1: Select Calc > Random Data > Integer from the menu bar.

Step 2: Twice your selected sample size in the Number of rows of data to create a section, just in case there are repeats. Set the sample size to five.

Step 3: In the Store in column, type SRS in column C1.

Step 4: Enter 1 for the minimum value and 50 for the maximum value. Step six. Select OK.

MINITAB output:

SRS:- 20, 40, 23, 41, 14, and 32.
