Since the two triangles are right angles triangles.

Where, B is the base of the triangles and P is the height of the triangles and H is the Hypotenuse of the triangles.

Using the Pythagoras theorem-

H2=B2+P2

 Step 3. Let’s calculate the height of the figure. 

H2=B2+P2102=82+P2P2=100−64P2=36P=6units

Now, area of the triangle

A=12(b×h)=12(8×6)=24sq.units

We know that the diagonal of a rectangle divide it into two equal triangles.

Thus, A=(2)×24=48sq.units

Therefore, the area of the figure(A)=48sq.units
