Notice that the rubber band is not exactly wrapping the non-convex polygon.

The relationship between the rubber band and the figure when the figure is a convex polygon is that the rubber band and the figure of the convex polygon will be coinciding that implies the rubber band will take exactly the same shape of the convex polygon that is it will exactly wrap around the convex polygon.
