Chapter 17: Problem 2
Summarize the physical changes that occur in old age. Old age is a period in which outward physical changes unmistakably indicate aging, but many older people remain fit, active, and agile well into the period. Older people experience a decrease in brain size and a reduction of blood flow (and oxygen) to all parts of the body, including the brain. The circulatory, respiratory, and digestive systems all work with less efficiency.
